The funding will support the growth of ISKCON Manitoba’s Food for Life program and help complete a certified commercial kitchen, significantly increasing the organization’s ability to serve nutritious meals to individuals and families throughout Winnipeg.
The Sreenathji Community Kitchen project has been made possible through the dedicated guidance from Bhaktmarga Swami, Indresh Gaura Dasa (GBC Member, Zone 1- North), and Vrnda Devi Dasi (Zonal Supervisor, Zone 1 – North), and under the leadership of Vishwambhara Kripa Das and Mahasundari Radhika Devi Dasi (Temple Presidents), Sam Khandelwal and Mithesh Trivedi Suryavanshi (Project Directors), and Gaurav Jindal and Bhanu Suryavanshi (Project Managers), Servant Leadership Teams.
Working alongside numerous volunteers, congregation members, and donors, the team has successfully led a $250,000 fundraising campaign to establish a permanent community kitchen facility that will support prasadam distribution, food-relief initiatives, educational programs, and community outreach.
