The golden anniversary of one of North America’s most beloved spiritual festivals is fast approaching as ISKCON New Dvaraka in Los Angeles prepares to host its 50th Annual Festival of Chariots, with several days of devotional programs culminating in the world-famous Ratha-yatra on Sunday, August 2.

ISKCON New Dvaraka in Los Angeles raised more than $300,000 during a special fundraising dinner held in support of the community’s upcoming 50th Annual Ratha-yatra festival, scheduled for August 2, 2026. The LA Ratha-yatra is one of the longest-running and most prominent Jagannatha chariot festivals outside India. This year’s event will mark its 50th anniversary, celebrating five decades of public kirtan, devotional culture, and outreach in Southern California.

The gala evening brought together

To honor the fiftieth anniversary of the installation of Sri-Sri Rukmini-Dwarakadisa, as well as the inception of Their beautiful worship, a commemorative festival will be held. Special guest speakers from the time of those glorious beginnings will speak, and a variety of special Krishna Janmastami worship and kirtan will be performed throughout the two-day festival.
