Kamika Ekadasi

Next week is Kamika Ekadasi. This Ekadasi has special benedictions which you can read about elsewhere on this website. But the ones I am most concerned with are as follows:

"This Ekadasi is the purest of all days and the most powerful for removing sins of the native.

Oh Narad ji, Lord Shri Hari Himself once said about this Ekadasi, "One who fasts on Kamika Ekadasi attains much more merit than one who studies all the spiritual literatures.

'Anyone who fasts on this particular day remains awake throughout the night will never experience the anger of Yamaraja, the king of death personified.

It has been seen that whoever observes Kamika Ekadasi will not have to suffer future births, and in the past too, many Yogis of devotion who fasted on this day went to the spiritual world."

Such mercy for following this Ekadasi! I plan to fast completely from food and water, and I will attempt to chant 64 rounds and stay awake all night. I have much trouble with fasting from food for long periods of time because of stomach problems, so if I can do this it will be quite an austerity. I will need Krishna's grace and mercy to accomplish this, which is why I'm just going to spend the day chanting.

If I remember correctly, there are specific times to break each Ekadasi fast. Can someone please let me know what time to break this fast so that I can do it perfectly?

Thank you in advance, and Hare Krishna!

the breaking times depend on which part of the world You are staying Prabhu.

You have to ask the closest Temple Devotees.

In India it might be 6-11 or near by times but in US it might be different.

Usually fast starts from Sunrise and continues till the next Sun rise.

    ...

Indeed this determination is the first qualification for achieving success. It says that with that vow only comes all the blessings of God and Demigods.
