Announcement from Krishna Balaram Mandir’s Temple President:
Everyone is familiar with the Coronavirus. They say in the news that India is now at stage 2 and stage 3 means it becomes widespread because many people are actually carrying the virus but it is dormant and not acting. We had to take hard decision, its a difficult and coordinated decision, and we are closing the Temple today at 01:00 PM for two weeks. It will be open for resident devotees only. There will be many questions and concerns, we have Community Services Center available. There will be only one gate open, Gate No. 2, for the resident devotees, those who are serving the deities and the different aspects of Temple operation. We also are having HOD meeting this morning at 11:00 AM to discuss the challenges and all the different aspects. But we should take it very seriously, it’s not something that we can take care of it nicely by keeping the people out. It actually goes through stages as we see different countries are into trouble. All the Iskcon Temples actually will be closed, we spoke with His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami. But we should prepare ourselves and see how things are unfolding as we don’t have all the answers right now. It is good time for hearing and chanting, it doesn’t mean that we are decreasing our bhakti and devotional service. We pray to Srila Prabhupada and hoping somehow or other things will get resolved. Its a World concern, very serious Medical Concern.
