The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in Hyderabad concluded a four-day Golden Jubilee festival on August 18, marking fifty years since the founding of the Sri Sri Radha Madanmohan Mandir in Abids. The celebration, held August 15 to 18 at the temple and at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally, was free and open to the public, drawing devotees, government officials and residents across a city that has changed considerably since the temple’s founding in 1976.

Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla attended the closing events with his wife, Janaki Shukla, formally recognizing the anniversary on behalf of the state. His presence, alongside senior ISKCON figures, framed the milestone in both religious and civic terms, reflecting the temple’s standing as one of Hyderabad’s established institutions rather than a purely internal community event.
