The ISKCON Annamrita Foundation, in collaboration with the Government of West Bengal, inaugurated the state’s largest Centralized School Meal kitchen in Kolkata under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman (PM POSHAN) Scheme. The state-of-the-art kitchen spanning 75,000 sq ft was inaugurated on August 1, 2026, by the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Shri Suvendhu Adhikhari.
In its initial phase, the program will provide approximately 200,000 fresh, hygienic, nutritious meals every day to students studying in nearly 450 government schools across Kolkata. Over the coming months, the initiative will be progressively expanded to include additional government schools throughout the state.
