Hare Krishna dear disciples and well-wishers of
H.H. Jayapataka Swami Maharaja,

Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Guru Maharaja.

The day before yesterday Guru Maharaja was taken to the hospital for some scans of the brain to evaluate his inability to speak, for the past few days he has been finding it difficult to speak even though he was alert and aware of things. By mercy of the Lord fortunately there was no sign of any new stroke.

However we still need to evaluate further to find out the cause of the extreme Fatigue and weakness Guru Maharaja is feeling and hence he was readmitted to the hospital.
The doctors team then decided to increase the frequency of dialysis expecting that it could probably improve the overall health condition.
Yesterday Guru Maharaja had dialysis with some modifications.

Today morning after dialysis also Guru Maharaja’s ability to respond was very poor. Later in the morning, when he was mobilised to the wheelchair, he started responding. He was hearing Srila Prabhupada’s lecture. When I asked him whose class he was hearing he raised his hands and loudly said “Srila Prabhupada”. He was able to identify the assistant to Dr Sarin.

While this is a definite improvement from the previous situation, the biggest challenge is that such improvements till now have been inconsistent. This is a very big challenge that our doctors are facing. They are trying to sustain the improvement and make it incrementally steady. However, the situation drastically changes every day and even sometimes within a day.

We therefore humbly request that devotees continue to chant and pray intensely to the Lord so that Guru Maharaja can consistently keep getting better and become fit enough to travel back to Mayapur and continue his services to Śrila Prabhupāda.

On behalf of the Health Team and JPS seva committee
Maha Varaha Dās
