Four young devotees from different parts of India recently joined the first-ever experiential learning course organized by the All India Padayatra, offering participants an immersive introduction to one of ISKCON’s longest-running preaching initiatives. For more than four decades, the traveling Padayatra has carried Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurasundara from village to village across India, bringing harinama sankirtana, book distribution, and devotional association to countless communities. The documentary follows the participants as they leave behind the comforts of daily life and step into the demanding yet transformative rhythm of the Padayatra.
Beginning with a train journey that quickly became filled with kirtana and devotional association, the participants were welcomed into the Padayatra community and introduced to its traveling Deities and preaching mission. As they joined harinama in rural villages, walked from house to house distributing books, and endured intense heat, power outages, and sudden storms, they witnessed firsthand the resilience and dedication of the devotees who serve on the Padayatra year-round. Despite physical challenges and unpredictable conditions, the young men were struck by the community’s mood of cooperation, service, and joyful acceptance.
