In the heart of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) community, a digital haven has emerged, providing a space for women to connect, share, and empower each other spiritually and personally. The Heart to Heart Vaishnavi Circle (HTHVC) stands as a testament to the vision and dedication of numerous women who have collectively fostered its growth and success.

Vrajalila Devi Dasi, a seasoned devotee deeply engaged in Vaishnava philosophy, spearheaded the HTHVC initiative after a fortuitous encounter with the Wake Up South Africa (WuSA) team. The team had been seeking a solution to cater to the local Vaishnavi community’s needs, and Vrajalila’s unwavering dedication to the cause breathed life into the idea. Recognizing the pressing need, Vrajalila’s inspirational involvement led to the platform’s inception. What started as a local endeavor later grew into an international platform despite initial growth pains. Reflecting on the journey, Vrajalila shared, “It’s been incredible to witness the growth of the platform from its humble beginnings to what it is today. Our aspiration has always been to create a space where Vaishnavis feel supported and empowered in their spiritual journey.”

Bhaktin Nomusa, a dedicated member of the ISKCON South Africa community, embarked on her journey within the HTHVC after being encouraged by the WuSA team to receive specialized training aimed at community building and continuity. Nomusa’s transformative growth within the platform has been profound. Through active participation and dedication to learning, she emerged as a pivotal figure. Nomusa reflected, “Being part of the HTHVC has transformed me. I’ve learned about myself and spirituality. I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this platform’s growth.”

Through her HTHVC involvement, Nomusa’s relationship with Srila Prabhupada, ISKCON’s Founder-Acharya, has deepened. Sharing her experience with Prabhupada’s spiritual daughters, a thematic presentation by several of Srila Prabhupada’s female disciples that ran over last year’s Kartik period, she gained profound insights into his teachings. Nomusa expressed, “Interacting with Srila Prabhupada’s daughters deepened my connection with him and enriched my understanding of his teachings.”

The growth of the HTHVC extended beyond its online presence, impacting physical communities. Inspired by the platform’s mission, two Vaishnavis have gone on to initiate circles of their own in their local communities. This expansion provided tangible spaces for women to gather, share experiences, and support each other spiritually. Vrajalila shared her joy in this, stating, “Seeing the HTHVC inspire women to start circles in their communities is fulfilling. It shows the power of connectivity and the importance of providing spaces for women to uplift each other.”
