Chanting in the Middle East

Since 1999, I developed an intense desire to experience Krishna Consciousness once again, and this time not in India, but in an Islamic Country.Eventually my prayers were answered. Although public Kirtans still remain a very distant possibility, nevertheless Kirtans and get-togethers happen on a weekly basis and celebrations of important events like Janamashtmi, Radha-Ashtmi take place with increasing frequency here. This is a good sign for the people here, and they can take benefit from this association of Krishna Conscious souls.I must thank some great personalities like Jayapataka Swami Maharaj and Lokanath Swami Maharaj, and their disciples, for providing a chance to the souls in these regions to go back to godhead.

We have had visiting Maharajas from India,Africa,America and Europe.Recently We were blessed by the visit of HH Bhakti Bhringa Govinda Swami Maharaj.He enthralled the listeners with a wonderful chanting session.Everyone actively participated and danced.Just before that, we had Jagannatha Yatra celebrations in Damodardesh, a video is available. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZkUGiqqjOM

I have met Srivallabh prabhu, a great devotee, and a wonderful soul, and some other devotees in Dubai as well as Sharjah.

Hari hari....having bn born n brought in dubai...kc and kirtan wer a long way away frm me until i was brought 2 london....however, i have discovered that thr is actually a kc society in dubai and they hold regular meetings, kirtans and grand scale celebrations on festival days of which i was blessed 2 b able 2 attend janmastami 2008 and gain ME devotees association. It happens in bur dubai in meena bazaar...m happy 2 provide contacts on request....hari hari...

Please visit UAE, you will be welcomed and will be able to enjoy Kirtans at home.Of course with due respect to the country, all programmes are conducted with perfect harmony, indoors, and even the islamic prayer times are observed carefully so as not to disturb anyone.

I had great fortune to be with devotees in Shyamdesh before i moved to Kuala Lumpur in 2006. I still miss the intense love and caring attitude of devotees in shyamdesh.
Hope we can assocaite with each other one day.
