Brave preacher - Prabhupada

While in Calcutta, Prabhupäda took his morning walk at the Victoria Memorial. I scooped up dirt from his footprints. Years before, on a similar walk in Calcutta, Prabhupäda had pointed to the Victoria Memorial and reminisced how he had climbed the construction scaffolding during his youth. A devotee noted the height of the memorial and remarked to Prabhupada, "You must have been very brave." Prabhupäda replied, "I am still brave. Otherwise, how could I have come alone to your country?"

Prabhupäda was brave and, by his preaching words and preaching deeds, he inspired his disciples to bravely serve Krsna. Based on Prabhupäda's bravery, devotees, filled with strength and encouragement, took great risks and spread Krsna consciousness throughout the world.

After weeks in sridhama Mayapur hearing Prabhupada's potent preaching, I left Calcutta for Australia, inspired to do my part as his servant.
