The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) is inviting devotees worldwide to join Śāstra Maṇḍala, its Gosvāmī literature book club, as preparations continue for the forthcoming publication of a comprehensive English edition of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī’s Śrī Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu.
The five-volume set is expected to be a landmark BBT release and an important resource for devotees who wish to study more deeply the source text behind Śrīla Prabhupāda’s The Nectar of Devotion. Through Śāstra Maṇḍala, devotees can sign up to receive updates and pre-order access when the edition becomes available.
For generations, The Nectar of Devotion has served as ISKCON’s beloved doorway into Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī’s science of bhakti. The forthcoming BBT edition builds upon that foundation by presenting the complete Śrī Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu in English, while keeping readers connected to the path Śrīla Prabhupāda opened for the movement.
The set will include the original Sanskrit verses, roman transliterations, Sanskrit-English equivalents, translations, explanatory notes, and detailed indices. It will also include commentarial guidance from Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī and Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura, insights from Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, and Śrīla Prabhupāda’s translations and commentaries on the opening verses.
