Another Day of Bliss by Bhaktimarga Swami

A mist had set in. A chipmunk scrambled along the log, then disappeared. Blue jays were heard from a distance. Two hawks soared above. And a ball of quills, an actual porcupine chewing on something right on our trail the BLT Trail, stepped aside as the six of us trekked along. It was slow with its movement compared to our spriteful  strides.

We met Agi and later Jen, Agi on her bike and Jen as a dog sitter with her two canine dependents. They are regulars. I’m now their friend having met them on this same path last June. I explained, “I’m in town again, here in Halifax to celebrate Krishna’s birthday”. They both find it most interesting.

A drizzle descended on Halifax. It was time for me to get some inside work done. One task was the visit to Pratik’s new condo. “Please come and bless our new place”, he requested. So I happily obliged with chanting the song, “Guruvastakam,” praises to the guru.

Wednesday is also my day to plug in to the South African crew I work with in the Durban dramas. This one hour time of contemplation of the Gita’s message is so exhilarating. Quickly then time came for on hour drive to Malone Bay organised by Yogendra. The venue was an old historic school, refurbished. And the purpose - kirtan of course, along with yoga dance. John, Amanda, Shirley, Miranda and other local folks came and gave their full attention to mantra and movement.

It was so blissful ! So blissful !
