He is one of the six mental sons of Brahma and the father of Vrihaspati the great learned priest of the demigods in the heaventy planets. He is born of the semen of Brahmaji given to the cinder of fire. Utthato and Samvarta are his sons and it is said that he is still performing austerity and chanting the holy name of the Lord at a place known as Alokananda on the bank of the Ganges.

Angira Muni, who strictly followed the rigid principles of the Atharva Vedas, was the leader of the followers of the Atharva Vedas.

In Bhgavatam 3.12.24 says Angira Muni was born from mouth

In Bhgavatam 1.19.9-10 it is said that Angira is mansa Putra of Brahma.

In Bhagavatam 4.13.16 Angira Munis Fater is Ulmuka and Mother is Puskarani

In Bhagavatam 4.13.16 it says Angira Munis Gradfater is Chaksusa Manu and Grand Mother is Nadvala.

Kardama Muni handed over one of his nine daughters Shraddha To Angira Muni in Marriage.

Angira’s wife, Sraddha, gave birth to four daughters, named Sinivali, Kuhu, Raka and Anumati.

Besides these four daughters, she also had another two sons. One of them was known as Utathya, and the other was the learned scholar Brhaspati.

In Srimand Bhagavatam 1.9.8 it says that Angirasa: He is the son of Maharsi Angira and is known as Brhaspati, the priest of the demigods.
