The first Naama Ruchi Festival was in New Jagannath Puri temple in Phoenix, South Africa. In the day, there were lectures on Sri Harinaam Chintamani by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura and in the evening there were celestial Kirtans that carried us all to the spiritual world. As a part of the festival we also had a huge Harinaam on the heavily crowded Addington Beach of Durban where hundreds of local African people joined the fun.
