Giridhari Swami: From Dec 29- Jan 1, Nitai Caran and I had the great fortune of attending Kirtan 50 in Dallas. The festival kicked off on Friday evening with Giriraj Swami Maharaja speaking to us about the importance of chanting the holy name offenselessly. Krishna’s name is non-different from Him and therefore has full potency to purify the heart, provided we chant without offense. Niranjana Swami Mahara, Bada Haridas Prabhu and B.B. Govinda Swami Maharaja all led beautiful, soul-stirring kirtans that melted the hearts of all three hundred devotees that attended. Harinama sankirtana ki-jaya! Hare Krishna maha-mantra ki-jaya! Srila Prabhupada ki-jaya!
