Gopastami is one of the very celebrated occasion. On this most auspicious occasion ISKCON Kanpur went on to celebrate a very big event with many awareness programs about cow protection & also launching Sri Surabhi campaign & seminars for farmers.
This event at ISKCON Kanpur was graced by the presence of 2 of the cities prominent officers
1. District Magistrate(D.M) of city Mr Kaushal Raj Sharma - who commented that ISKCON is playing a prominent role in promoting cow protection.
2. Kanpur Development Authority- Vice Chairman Mrs. Jaishree Boj
Both of them along with an auspicious presence of HG devakinandan prabhu did Go-Puja & expressed there full cooperation in such kind of activities. Many newspaper had a dozen of questions answred by them regarding go seva.
We also launched a "Sri Surabhi" campaign in which we connected many people to our Goshala. Also there was a seminar organized for farmers around about importance of cow & cow products.
With around 70 cows & 20 Bulls & 1000s of visitors we finally did a yajna & distributed prasad made form cow milk to all the visitors.
