When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
In the mid-1970s, I was a non-initiated devotee. I still have fond memories of that experience, and great respect for Prabhupad, but I no longer have or seek any connection with ISKCon.
That's why I've left several of your questions unanswered.
I'm creating this account only in order to answer a question posted by member Chris Herrick 9 years ago that apparently no one has answered yet:
https://iskcondesiretree.com/forum/topics/original-iskcon-temple-address-in-santa-fe-new-mexico
Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.
I first encountered ISKCon as a high school student in Santa Fe, NM, in 1967 or '68, at the temple there established and run by Subal Das. Later, I was involved mostly with the temple in Evanston, IL, though I also attended temples in Manhattan, Detroit, Montreal, Boston, and maybe others I'm not remembering at the moment. I had the good fortune to see and hear Prabhupad several times, and to meet with him semi-privately (in the company of a few close devotees) once.
What are your expectations from this community?
None. I know I don't fit the mold of this web community's typical member, nor do I expect to participate as such. I just hope you'll allow me to share the information of interest that I happen to have.
Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?
Just to answer Chris's question, and possibly to discuss ISKCon's history in NM further with them if they want to follow up on it.
