When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
I heard about Srila Prabhupada from my late husband, Wade Maraj. We started coming to the Alachua Temple in 1994 and were planning to move here. He passed away in 2023 just as we were about to build our house here. I moved here 3 months after he died in a little house I bought in town.

New Raman Reti - My closest teachers are: Nanda dd, Pranada dd, Samapriya dd, Sukhada dd, Ratna dd, and other amazing Vaishnavis that have transformed my life. To which I am extremely grateful.
Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.
I am 61 years old, a widow that is still deeply connected to my husband. I work at the Best Western as the event manager. I live about 7 minutes from the temple and go as much as I can. I enjoy serving the deities to my capacity since I am not yet initiated. I am working toward inititation so that I too can dress the deities, offer arati, and cook for my sweet Lords.
What are your expectations from this community?
Association, deepen my relationships with all devotees.
Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?
I would love to help out any way that I can. My training is in event planning and execution. I love making garlands, cooking, decorating, singing, greeting people and making them feel welcome, and just overall kindness and care to all.
