When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
During my academics, while staying at hostel, I came across some lectures from ISKCON.
Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.
I haven't visited any, since no ISKCON temples nearby.
What are your expectations from this community?
I hope I could increase my knowledge about Krishna and Hare Krishna movement. I have just started Krishna Consciousness.

Hare Krishna devotees. I don't know how to use this website, but I think someone will see this and reply to me.
I am new to Krishna consciousness and I am just an adult now(18 yrs). I am a Hindu, but I belong to Nair community in Kerala, so we eat non veg (not beef and all, just the chicken, fish and some eggs). But as soon as I came to Krishna Consciousness, I am not at all comfortable in eating these non veg. Initially , I told my family that I quit non veg for sometime, bcoz of my exams( I don't like eating non veg during exams). But as soon as exams are over, they started providing me eggs and fish , because everyone believes that eating these only improves your protein intake.
But truly, I began hating non veg. It's because of the process of Krishna Consciousness. But sadly ,I can't really quit it bcoz, in our area veg food varieties are very much lesser, So for proteins and some other vitamins, even doctors tell us to eat some non veg. I am really confused and stressed, please someone reply me. I really don't know what to do. I am thinking of eating some non veg now due to these reasons and in the future, when I live on my own, I can eat whatever I want (so that time, I can change my food). Nobody can understand how my mind dislikes non veg now.
So actually, my another doubt is , Can I chant Hare Krishna Mahamantra in this situation? pls somebody explain.
Hare Krishna, devotees. I am new to ISKCON desire tree. I am someone trying to connect with devotees and increase my knowledge in Krishna Consciousness. And also, I don't understand how to use this website. I think this comment wall would help me to put comments and people could see this.
