When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
I came into contact via New Seva Kunj (Chicago). Started my journey five years ago by attending Bhagavad-gita classes and Sunday Feasts. A Prabhupada disciple, Jitendriya Das of Chicago befriended me. Out of that association, I performed seva with this friend on a regular basis and later became interested in joining ashram in Chicago. I am a vanaprashta; former Rissho Kosei-kai (Japanese Buddhist lay ass'n) member (25 yrs). I was raised Roman Catholic. I am learning French, Latin, and Klingon via Duolingo. I studied Japanese in college (26 credit hrs). I have a B.A. in human development psych.
