When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
Roughly 8 months ago by my boyfriend.
Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.
I have never stayed at a temple but I know a couple from the Montreal Temple
Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.
I am a very nervous and shy personality who has a lot of baggage. I've gone through very traumatic events and now I need this movement more than ever to help me and guide me back to Godhead. I entered this movement as transgender, but I understand Karma and the Law of Nature and how it's all pieced together (for the most part). I have a devotee boyfriend who has gone to the Montreal temple already, so he's a very nice guide for me. I still have a hard time waking up in the morning and I don't feel motivated to do much, so I'm hoping I can find some lovely advice and guidance from some other devotees who can help me out the best they can - and I'll serve them however I can.
What are your expectations from this community?
I want to find more friendly devotees and some other females who can help me become a proper woman.
