When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I came in contact with Iskcon through my school friend in 2011. Since then I have been visiting the temple. But I took aspiration in 2019 from Jayapathaka Swami and then on have been very intimately associating myself with gita studying, becoming a member of IYS and finally Krishna Bhakta.

I am from a Vaishnava family, My father has always been a very devoted and dedicated in practicing chanting, and praying to the lord. His actions have fondly inspired me to understand the importance of realizing the truth and immersing one self in service to the lord. I have completed under-graduation in Genetic Engineering. My goal is become a Neuroscientist and forever be in service to krishna.

What are your expectations from this community?

To develop positivity, clarity and most importantly develop a keen involvement in studying and enjoying all about Krishna. I do not want to live life in constant fear, I want my association with Iskcon to help me again the state of surrenderance to Krishna, away from all material distractions.
