When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I was in my 1st semester in 2007, sometime in september, Srinivas Prabhu and Tirthanga Prabhu came to our hostel to tell us about the Discover Yourself Course. I started coming for the classes, and that's how by Krishna's mercy, I came into contact with the Krishna Conscious movement,

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

ISKCON, Durgapur is my most frequently visited ISKCON centre, I also go to Mayapur during my vacations. Devotees I know : Srinivas Prabhu, Tirthanga Prabhu, Brajaraj Prabhu, ShyamSundar Prabhu, Audharya Prabhu, Kesava Prabhu, Arjun Prabhu, Sankarshan Prabhu.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

I am student pursuing B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in Dr. B. C. Roy Engg. College, Durgapur. I am kind of an introvert, but enthusiastic in spiritual matters. I have always been inclined towards spirituality, but due not being able to get explanations for the social/ religious customs, had, for some time, lost belief in religion. By Krishna's mercy, I came in contact with ISKCON, and the six-session class "Discover Yourself" of the ISKCON Youth Forum fostered in me my lost belief. I want to pursue MS in the US after my B.Tech. I also want to study Sanskrit and thereby study the Vedas. I also have the wish to spread the message of Krishna as far as I can.

What are your expectations from this community?

To associate with other devotees practising Krishna Consciousness and learn to become a better devotee.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

I will try to do whatever I can for Krishna. Since I am a computer science engg. student, I help devotees I know and the Durgapur ISKCON centre with issues related with computing. I am interested in blogging, mailing, building Krishna related websites ( I am learning), book distribution,etc. for Krishna.
