When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I have read much of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda's works. I read Srimad Bhagavatam and Sri Caitanya-Caritamrt daily. I found the online chat option and was referred to this website by Dina Sharana dasa.

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

ISKCON Vedic Cultural Center in Sammamish WA. It is two hours away. I have unfortunately not been there yet so I know no devotees yet.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

I used to consider myself very intellectual until my early 30s when I gave up practicing as an eye doctor and chasing material wealth. It was only bringing me misery. Since that time, I have changed my focus to spirituality. With the help of many literary works by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, I am changed man with only one goal; love of Godhead and devotional service.

What are your expectations from this community?

I wish to learn how to perform devotional service better, meet other devotees, and find my initiating guru so that I may become a disciple and devotee of Krishna. I wish to meet Krishna face to face and return to Godhead.

I would love to offer any service that is needed.
