Please forgive me for imposing but I can't resist asking a further question. I've been watching your Women, Men & Sexuality videos and have developed a great respect for your perspective and opinion. Also, by the way, the videos of your japa workshop are also incredibly helpful. Just that one insight that the mantra is a relationship with Krishna is worth a billion dollars.
So with regard to this issue with my wife. We live next to a big empty beach 100 kms north of Sydney, Australia. My wife goes for a run and then a swim on this beach very often at sunrise when there's hardly anyone else around. I only found out recently that she had been regularly bumping into this friend, a good looking single guy that we both know and going for a 20-30 minute run with him and then they would both go for a swim together at the end.
Now I can't help it but I feel like him doing that regularly is crossing the line. I feel like he's getting too personal with her.
So, what you're saying is that I shouldn't be complaining and that I should just trust them more ?
I once again apologise for imposing,
hare krishna,
mario
By the way, thought I might share something that happened to me the other day, very soon after I sent you my question regarding 'forgiving'. Whilst my wife was getting ready to go to the 40th birthday of (guess who) this guy who I feel has been infringing on my marriage, I went onto www.mayapur.tv.
The live webcam was showing the deity of Lord Nrsingadeva. I was feeling like asking the deity to help me by 'dealing' with this guy who has been getting too close to my wife. But just before I did someone in the chat area typed in a prayer to Lord Nrsingadeva... They typed ... "Bring me pain so I can always remember you." Something kind of clicked in me when I read this... a light bulb kind of went on.
Over the last 6 months since I've been having a problem with this guy the pain and anguish has at times been absolutely terrible. This pain has made me start repeating the mantra much more and with greater depth than ever before. So, whilst the last 6 months have been very painful, I have never been so close to Krishna in my life. I realised that this whole situation is actually Krishna's mercy. So now, whilst I still think this guy is out of line, I now realise that it's actually just Krishna's favor.
As my wife left to go to his house for the party I felt quite peaceful... almost wishing for more pain so I could get closer and closer to Krishna. Even when she got home at 2 am I was calm, even laughing inside... because now I understand it's just Krishna helping me get closer to him.
hare krishna,
Mario
:-)
Thanks for your response, I now understand.
I was reading the section on forgiveness on your web page. So are you saying that no matter how someone behaves you should just forgive them no matter what and just let Krishna take care of everything? I have a situation in my life at the moment where another male has been (in my opinion) paying too much attention to my wife. Whilst I don't think they have actually committed adultery I feel he has been crossing the line of what is comfortable for me. In his opinion he hasn't done anything wrong. So you are saying that I should just accept what he's been doing and forgive him?
i think i have seen u somewhere , may be i have heard your kirtans !!!
