When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I was introduced to the Hare Krishna Movement in 1972 by Ashook Das who came from India to Dallas to help Goswami Srila Prabhpada translate his books. Srila Prabhupada taught me recipes from his books way by then. Being a Beauty/Wellness Guru for the elite in Dallas. I was able to transform the way Texas understood this movement...we were awarded a special Holiday in the conservative Dallas, Texas, and had a float in the Cotton Bowl Parade... My daughter Campaka, was raised in the temple and went to Gurukula. She is now a well known singer, song writer composer and master gardner in NY City. I funded and created Kalachandjis Restaurant in 1980--still number one vegetarian restaurant in Dallas. My husband Madan Mohan and I moved to Cambridge with Srila Gurudeva, and I was his chef and my husband his secretary. I am now teaching Ayurveda and training cooks, plus my organic Beauty Business..and making devotees, plus an author now of three Hare Krishna Cook Books... And on and on.......

I have always been successful in the beauty and wellness fields and in public life--have been on TV many times and have won numerous awards you can see on my web sites..my main goal, to spread Krishna Consciousness through vegetarianism and philosophy.

What are your expectations from this community?

I want to play a bigger game in Krishna Consciousness once again, would love to be a public figure preaching and teaching as I have always done, publishing my books, teaching healthy beauty with Radharani's assistance, and much more.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

When I lived with my guru of 40 years, Srila Tamal Krishna Goswami in Cambridge, England as his chef, he asked me to write a cookbook on Ayurveda and use as preaching. I have almost finished it..has taken almost 3 years and the name of it is Krishna's Kitchen. It has 400 pages with 170 being special recipes Gurudeva had me learn.
