When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
I was born in a small village in Bengal, though my mother married and settled down with a SriVaishnav Brahmana, my father is from Tamil Nadu. I was always into singing for Lord Krishna, whom I had always accepted as the Personality of Godhead. when I moved here with my husband to New York
I had a chance to visit the HK temple in Brooklyn, where I first saw Srila Prabhupada installed in the temple, opposite the deities. I got to read his Lilamrita and was since then committed and started to sincerely seek initiation and had to wait for fifteen years for that to happpen! i am proud to have become the servant of hh bhaktiCharu Swami and hope to serve the ISKCON community.

San Diego New Govardhan temple, know His Grace Badrinarayan Prabhu(who was most instumental in making my dream of initiation happen. I admire Prabhuji for his extensive knowledge and presentation of ISKCON principles) I know Dravida Prabhu our Pandit and very knowledgeable leader in our temple and community, His grace is amazing, merciful and gives every one valuable information!

I am passionate about our most wonderful Srila Prabhupada and read his Lilamrta every day, and regret not having had the opportunity to meet him. He was some where in Kolkata even as I was a child growing up there!
I am a Hindustani classical singer and musician and love to sing for the beautiful San Diego deities Sri Radha Giridhari, and aim to be a servant of my GuruMaharaj and sincerely serve Him.
What are your expectations from this community?
I want to know other devotees, their interests, their accomplishments, and would love to see how I can bring my capabilities to serve the community.
Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?
music is my strenght that lord Krishna has given me, if I could use this for giving programmes in the temple, or give a Sankirtan workshop for people, or talk about the importance of Sankirtana. I would also like to serve the online community, with writing and media work.
