Its a long story; I'll make it as painless as possible: I was offered initiation by Srila Prabhupad twice 1974 and 1977 but the last time he was so sick I opted for when he got well to be accepted in Mayapur 1978, anyway we know Iskcon history and HDG's physical body passed away before that time, so I was directed to our zonal acharya Jayatirtha prabhu in the UK and was his second disciple after Purushottam dasa (Siddha deha dasa) and was given the name Nityananda Rama dasa. Again Iskcon history Jayatirtha prabhu had some challenges and left the movement, we were in Australia at the time and was kept up to date by Bhavananda Goswami, who later offered my wife and I re-initiation, I declined saying I only ever wanted Srila Prabhupad, and after assuring me that was all he could offer me or direct me toward I did take shelter and re-established my link to Srila Prabhupad through him and was given the new name Nitai Gosai dasa 1982. Again as history recalls Bhavananda prabhu had some challenges and gave up providing his disciples and followers shelter, so for I while I took shelter of Tamal Krishna Goswami but it remained a shiksha relationship then some time after I asked Jayapataka Swami for shelter, he agreed and I was given the new name Jaya Tirtha Charan dasa in Mayapur 1990

When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
I first saw the devotees on Oxford Street in London in 1968 I was out shopping with my parents and at the sound of the kirtan party I said "oh look Buddhists" to which my mother sturnly said "dont you getany ideas". Within a year I'd met the devotees anumber of times I thought there was hundreds of them in London they seemed to be all over the place. I'd already become vegetarian shortly after first seeing them, and began chanting a little. George Harrisons record was a big influence so many people were chanting it was on the radio all the time, some of my friends and I used to walk around the streets as kids did back then chanting loudly, we didn't know what we were doing......it was just a cool song. 1972-73 I used to frequent the Elgin Avenue "squat temple" in Ladbrook Grove - Westbourne park where Jagjivan dasa (Berkeley) and Girivaradhari dasa (younger brother of Smarahari dasa) were based. Revatinanda swami used to visit and Ranchor prabhu was between there and Bury place, Aniha prabhu joined there too. I went to the newly opened Bhaktivedanta Manor and stayed there for a bit serving under Rajashekar prabhu (bees) and Kulashekara prabhu (kitchen) this was when Mukunda (now Goswami) suggested I take initiation from Srila Prabhupad when he comes in a few weeks. I saw HDG dancing in the Rathyatra but didn't get initiated washing pots was too much for me at that time, nearly got webbed fingers. Moved to my parent place and then to Cornwall briefly then back to London and began again visiting Bury Place and serving under Bhaja hari prabhu, Bhuvaneswar prabhu, Rohininandan prabhu, Yasyaswini mataji and Kamalaya netreya mataji. Bhajahari prabhu and Rohininandan prabhu strongly suggesting I go back to the Manor and join the newly formed Bhakta program under Danavir and Vipramukhya prabhus, so I did. I was there I met and had some memorable small interactions with the Lord of my life Srila Prabhupad. Danavir and Vipramukhya prabhus both asked me if I wanted to get initiated and foolishly I told them I did but I didn't want Srila Prabhupad to become more sick by taking my karma, so we agreed I would take in Mayapur 1978 after Prabhupad recovered. Something I have been kicking myself for doing ever since, I just had no idea HDG would pass on, I had no conception of his ever leaving us - and actually he never has.

Neither am I a brahmacari, nor a grhastha, nor a vanaprastha, nor a sannyasi, but I am simply the servant of the servant of the servant of the lotus feet of the eternally self-manifesting ocean of nectar of the highest bliss, the master of the gopis, Sri Krsna." (Padyavali 74)

My name is Asitdas,year 1980 to 1985 I was Brahmachari in Iskcon Movement,
Ride now I am in shelter of H.H.Radhanath Swami & disciple .My life's goal
is only to Save Cow, Save Earth (Soil) & Save Desi Bija(seeds), its non-hybrid seeds
this is my Krishna Consciousness service.
But from last 20 years study Indian Cow Breed & organic farming.Last
12 years happen to the co-ordinater (central India) for Bhartiya Go-vansh Rakshan Parishad.
Running Kamdhenu Kutumbkam its save Cow, save Earth,Save Desi Bija(seeds) movement.
I conducts seminar of(zero buget natural farming) natural Farming Proses (vedic way) & desi seed Bank for farmers.
So, Prabhuji I want to point out few things ,those are taking away us from
Bhakti & Sadhana. Those are Very essential in our life i.e. grains,vegetables,fruits,milk.
We know all these are totally contaminated through chimicals,pesticides, genetically modifide seeds ,we thinks all are Sim's to vegetarian.
Unfortunately they are not vegetarian, because all these G.M.O. grains, vegetables,fruits are
contains animal gene like fish,hog,spider,cockroach,any animals. Also our milk form hybrid
cow means cow-baffle-hog- horse . So please thinks if we take such so called veg. food, what will
happen to our consciousness. Certainly this Tamasik 'Ahara' will effects our Krishna Consciousness & devotee's life
in Iskcon movement. How we will achieve Sadhana & Bhakti & ultimate Goal of life. All we are aware of this results in our Iskcon.
Shila Prabhupada knew all this will happen in future. He always mention in his Books about ' Go-Brahman Hitayac..'.
Go-Raksha & self sufficient farming community for our every centers around the world, to get
desi cow milk, organic desi food 'Satvik aahara' for devotees.But Iskcon centers tried lot according to Shila Prabhupada's wish.
Unfortunately they do not get proper guidance for Natural way of farming i.e. vedic farming way.
For ex. in year 80-90 all
Iskcon farms go for hybrid seeds,chemical fertilizers & pesticides ,hybrid cow (jars i/ho stein), but ride now quit few
are turn to expensive organic farming, Desi Cows (Indian Cows) with hump,
Still their is time to improve our way of farming techniques with (govansh) cow & bull. Someone has to come forward
began this process of natural farming way then slowly gradually other will follow. It is very easy, by help
of only one cow need to cultivate 10 arcs of farmland.This is totally unbelievable theory, & also desi Bija Pedhi means non-hybrid seed bank to gen run soon . From this
Natural Farming you will get desi grains-vegetables-fruits in few years it will be self sufficients for community. So the Devotees
will get 'Satavik Anna' towards to achieve Bhakti & Sadhana.
I have given many years of life for Natural Farming expriments, I have many fast ideas to Run ISKCON's Desi Seed Bank, please take advantage as soon as possible.
