  Pranam Dearest Devotee. Hare Krishna.

  May you be blessed with full surrender at the Lotus

  Feet of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord

  Krishna, Who expands Himself all over the creation

  and is transcendental to material energy. He has

  cast away the effects of material energy by dint of 

  His spiritual potency  and He is always situated in

  eternal  bliss  and  transcendental  knowledge. I

  offer my respectful obeisances unto Him. According

  to the rules and regulations of fruitive activities,

  there is a need to offer periodical food and water

  to the forefathers of the family. The offering is

  performed by worship of Lord Vishnu, because

  eating the  remnants of  food  offered to Lord

  Vishnu can deliver one from all kinds of sinful

  actions.  Sometimes  the  forefathers  may  be

  suffering from various types of sinful reactions,

  and  sometimes  some  of them  cannot  even

  acquire a  gross  material  body and  forced to

  remain in subtle  bodies as ghosts. Thus,  when

  remnants of prasadam are offered to forefathers

  by the descendants, the forefathers are released

  from ghostly or other kinds of miserable life. Such

  help rendered to forefathers is a family tradition, 

  and those who are not in devotional service are

  required to perform  such rituals. One  who  is 

  engaged in devotional service to Lord Krishna is

  not required to perform such actions. Simply by

  performing devotional service, one can deliver

  hundreds and thousands of forefathers from all

  kinds of misery. With love and best wishes, take

  May you be blessed with the shelter of the God

  of Gods; the Lord of all the mystics, the Supreme

  Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna, Who directly

  and indirectly knows how everything, including the

  living force, mind, and intelligence, is working

  under His control. He is the illuminater of everything

  and has no ignorance. His transcendental body is 

  dark blue like a new cloud. His garment is brilliant

  like lightning, and the beauty of His Face is enhanced

  by His gunja earrings and the peacock feather on His

  Head. He wears garlands of various forest flowers and

  leaves and He is equipped with a herding stick, a

  buffalo horn  and a flute. He is the ultimate object of

  worship. The purpose of performing sacrifice is to

  please Him. Yoga is for realizing Him. All fruitive

  activities are ultimately rewarded by Him only. He is

  Supreme knowledge, and all severe austerities are

  performed to know Him. Religion (dharma) is rendering

  service to Him. He is the Supreme goal of life. His 

  devotees conquer His body, words and mind. Lord

  Krishna`s body is conquered because He always remains

  by the side of His pure devotees. Lord Krishna`s words

  are conquered because He always chants the glories of

  His devotees. And Lord Krishna`s mind is conquered

  because He always thinks about His loving devotees.
