It is not clear to me whether Bhagavad gita is a Smriti or a Shruti ..I invite prabhujis and ISKCON gurus to clear my doubt along with authentic sources and quotes from our scriptures.Hare Krishna !

When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

A spiritual environment in home,the first time I was in contact with Hare Krishna movement was in my college where we were given a seminar conducted by choice and subsequent weekly lectures by Shri Nimai Nitai Dasa at Jalgaon (Maharashtra).
