When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
I joined the NY temple in 1977 after seeing the devotees on the subway. They made me feel happy.
Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.
There are no temples here, to my knowledge. I have not associated with devotees for many years-regrettably.
Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.
I am a black body devotee-a little tall. I wear kurta and long skirt or saree, oh, I now wear glasses.
What are your expectations from this community?
I would like to associate with devotees and relearn what I have forgotten. I am alone and suffer from depression because there are no hare krsna devotees here. I recently purchased small gaur-nitai deities and feel a lot better about myself. I recently approached my spiritual master who welcomed me back.
Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?
I think it would be a good service to distribute Srila Prabhupad's books here and maybe even preach a little. I know that I am not young any more, but I feel compelled to give kesna consciousness to people. I realise that I am just a single soul, but I want to try anyway. Maybe I could print cards that tell people about this site?
