When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

Chance meeting with HG Jayadev Prabhu at a music festival in Denmark. I was a devout Roman Catholic at that time, we had a short conversation about God which had a profound effect on me. After that meeting which concluded with my asking Jayadev to say a prayer for me, my health improved considerably. I told my youngest son about the conversation I'd had with the "Hare Krsna" at the festival and my son was suitably impressed to order a copy of Bhagavad Gita for me. I then began searching for information about Krsna and His devotees on line, I started listening bhajans on Youtube and chanting the maha mantra. Some weeks later I looked Jayadev up on line and messaged him to tell him how his prayers had helped and he put me in touch with my nearest temple in Newcastle upon Tyne. I have been a member of that community ever since.

I have been practising KC for a little over four years. I was recently initiated by HH Janananda Goswami Maharaja. I am naturally artistic an creative and love to use my skills in service to Krsna and His devotees. It is my 2014 new year's resolution to do much more devotional service Krsna willing, to make up for that past year when my health has not been very good.

What are your expectations from this community?

To make devotee friends to learn from them and to be inspired by them to help me on my journey in KC

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

As I have mentioned I am an artist. I usually paint in Acrylic on Canvas. I am always happy to offer my services as an artist to Krsna and his devotees.
