Somebody sent a link of Dandavats about how Prabhupad got his gold teeth because he had lost a teeth. Prabhupad was in Japan in a company negotiating for printing his Bhagavad Gita. Because you see by the effulgence of a pure devotee, they were so moved that they offered Prabhupad free treatment at their dental clinic because he had lost his teeth. Prabhupad accepted and went there. There was a young Japanese boy who very smilingly, respectfully welcomed Prabhupad and took the measurements of his lower jaw and made a gold tooth. And gold is good for the heart. Prabhupad used to say that. Gold is even used in some medicines. They put that tooth and Prabhupad was pleased and said that, Wow! I'm not even feeling the presence of the teeth and grabbed his head and pulled him towards his heart and embraced him. And that Japanese boy was bowing down, bowing down with a huge smile and Prabhupad ruffled his hair and gave him special mercy. And you can see how people are transformed by a moment's association with a pure devotee. Prabhupad had that property of attracting the hearts of people.

Generally conditioned souls, when they go they repel people because they have got so many anarthas. But it is the quality of a pure devotee to attract people by his kindness and devotion. And Prabhupada did that and people felt inspired to render service to him and that is the whole idea.

There are so many great devotees in Iskcon and we have to hanker for their personal service as much as possible.
