    PAMHO.

    Very good question. A very sincere sadhaka will ask the way you have asked. Surrender is a journey, not a destination. You stand in front of Krsna in your local ISKCON temple and pray to the lord, I want to surrender to You, but I dont know how to, please teach me. He will surely teach you. Its like falling in love prabhu, there's no end to it. It is something we do every moment in our lives - when whatever we do, we think before - is this act of mine pleasing to the lord? Would my Krsna be happy with me if I did this?

    Chanting 16 and following 4 is the pre requisite - otherwise one cannot come to the platform of surrender at all.

    Like how when we are in love, we will do some things that we do not like or its absolutely against our nature, just to please our loved one, that same way - when we surrender, we do things to please Krsna, not ourselves. We do things that we would not do for anyone else - because it is pleasing to Krsna.

    He will guide you if your heart is sincere prabhu. He does not see the length and breadth of our prayers, He sees the depth of our prayers. Read Gita and Bhagavatam daily, chant 16, follow 4, devlop attachment for your house/ temple deities, wait eagerly to do their darshan..... congratulate them on how beautiful they are looking, converse with Them... surrender will come.

    It is a vast ocean of knowledge.

    But shortly it is ALWAYS TO THINK OF KRISHNA AND NEVER FORGET HIM.

    Following 4 regulative principles. Chanting 16 rounds; If possible living in the mode of goodness waking up early in the morning, eating food which is offered to Krishna, proper dress, ....

    Surrender with mind means to read Srila Prabhupada's books and apply knowledge in our lives. Chanting, hearing lectures;

    And conclusion: We have to work as hard as if everything depends on us; & We have to pray with so much intense that everything depends on God.
