One silly question Mataji,I love wearing Sarees a lot but being a college student, I have to wear other clothings for fear of laughter from relatives & society.

It is not a silly question.

i am not from India but know for some time in India. So for 2 years i wear saree. At home, at the college, everywhere. On the contrary people see me and the Tilak they say "Hare Krishna!"

In this way they remember about Krishna. And they wash their billion sins. So i do not think of my own prestige but my Gurudev told me to try to wear saree even to college. So why not please Guru and Krishna? I do not care of the opinions of some unintelligent - westernized people who in the place saree wear now jeans or mini skirt. It does not bother me much. Krishna will protect me.

In ISKCON You can wear anything You want. It is not so strict. Our girls wear penjabis, salvars or what ever is there...

Wear that thing in which You feel comfortable to chant the Holy Names.

Basic thing is to try to chant the Holy Names attentively and regularly. Better to chant one round but regularly - everyday.
