My mother treats me and I too treat her as my friend.So as a friend, I feel I should correct her wherever she is going or doing wrong and I do it though it may be harsh.Is this right? Because sometimes I feel she is my mother,elder to me, ,how do I have the right to tell her what is right or wrong.This may reduce my reduce my respect towards her.

the symbol of age is how much person is more intelligent then another one. It is charged not by physical birth.

I also like to teach my Mother :) even though she is my mother but i teach her. And also learn from her some other things. In this way when we become elder parents should become friends with their children. And it is correct.

But children are always children and we should not forget it also. But if You have more knowledge then why not to teach?! For example, in our country to eat non veg is usual thing. But when i learned about Krishna Consciousness and along with it learned something in Ayurveda then i used to speak of it to my mother also. And she also became veg. In this way it is good if You teach Your mother.

Plus You are educated intelligent girl. But please also be respectful to her.
