1) I study in college which is co-ed. I need to talk with girls as well as boys.This confusion always lingers in my mind, as to what extent should I interact with boys.
I am shy while speaking with boys,I don't even look into their eyes, while my mother's opinion is,'we should interact with them,to the extent of our work required through them'.
I am throughly confused on this aspect.Please guide me according to scriptures.

In Vedic culture girls look to the eyes of their husband only. Chaste girl should try to avoid much eye contacts with opposite sex. It will create unneeded attachments and dirty desires. And our mind will be disturbed. On the place of thinking about Krishna we will think about those eyes.

and create so many illusory pictures in our mind.

i understand, present mothers think that it is normal but they got this idea only from TV s.

Present age parents think that to drink, to eat meat, to have sex, to smoke is natural but not to have these things is unnatural. It is Kali Yuga.

But we are learning Bhagavad Gita and Vaishnava culture. And know that all these things are sinful. And we are trying to live life as pure as possible and achieve love for Krishna.

Srila Prabhupada says that if a girl is CHASTE AND KNOWS HOW TO COOK THEN I WILL PERSONALLY FIND FOR HER A GOOD KRISHNA CONSCIOUS HUSBAND.

In this way trust to the words of Srila Prabhupada and Krishna and pure Devotees and what they told it is true.

Why? Because they are "Goswamis" - they can control their senses. We can trust only to people who can control their senses. But who do not do that we should not trust.

But we should respect everyone.

If Your mother tells You to look to the boys, then just explain that You will look to Your husband in the future but now i want to study...
