How To Eat Correctly?

I am very fond of eating.I feel like eating spicy food daily & also different food without repeating them.I think that we should eat different food daily so as to tell friends & relatives that I have tasted all kinds of food.

Also,when I get less quantity of food to eat though filling my stomach,I get agitated because I expect same amount of food daily.

Let's see:

There are 3 sources where we get love.

Without love we do not survive in this world. Only love in this or on that form keeps us alive.

The basic sources of love we get:

1- from food

2- from relationships with people

3- from the relationship with Supreme Person Krishna.

the first one is the lowest form but even though it gives us love and keeps us alive.



And now if we loose good relationship with people then we will be depressed and fulfill that depress with food. Spicy food says us that we are living life mostly in the mode of passion:

become easily angry, aggression...

for example this situation we can see in those women who got married and after marriage they think that there is no need to take care of my beauty (since my husband will never leave me now) in this way they start to behave as they want. and it won't please the husband. Before marriage he used to see a doll but now some kind of demon :O

In this way husband starts to dislike wife's actions. Love? finished. Then in order to fill up this lack of love wifes start to eat. They gain weight....

Because of that we have to cultivate healthy relationships with others, with our friends, relatives. Be in the nature, visit Temple together, hear Kirtans...

say compliments, to try to help each other...

also if we regulate our eating habits like what time we eat, what we should eat not eat for our health not for the sake of saying to someone but for the sake of good health.

For example, if i eat too much i loose my time for too much sleep and i become unhappy :(

If i do not eat on time hunger makes me aggressive and weak i do not like to fast very much. On Ekadashi i eat non grainy Prasadam like varai flour, fruits, milk...



And when we eat we have to chew very nicely and it will decrease the desire to eat much. Because from food we satisfy not only hunger of the body but of the mind also. When we chew nicely and taste the taste then mind will be satisfied.



And of course it is very difficult to control the tongue, because of that we have to pray to Krishna and He will defiantly help us to control it.

And if we chant very attentively we will loose taste for eating too much or for sleeping too much. iN this way nice chanting is our only power.
