I have gotten the seat to become a medical student in the army. In my country, I am one of the very few vegetarians to get into the army.

After talking with my devotee relatives, I have found out that I am the first Vaisnava to enter the National University of Defense Malaysia. The university is composed of 90% Muslims and 10% of people of other faith. Vegetarianism is not recognised in the uni campus.

I am in a deep trouble and am afraid that I am going to face difficulties to practise vegetarianism.

I don't know how to deal with my situation.

Please share your advice with me.

Hare Krishna!

Dear Mataji, very nice to talk to You!

I also had to stay in the dormitory with 100% muslim girls and teachers and environment for 4 years.

All students had to eat only in canteen where there was no anything from veg food except some bread which i do not eat.

It was not allowed to cook at the hostel... so i had to manage somehow.

True i had to cry, suffer, pray... but be faithful to Krishna and service to Him. So used to buy dry fruits and all things which remain for long time without fridge and eat them.

Sometimes i used to soak some grains in the water for night and after add some salt and eat that... so it was tuft but i had to over come difficulties some how and chant.

Krishna gives difficulties according to our capacity to over come them. So please be faithful to Him and have trust! But be fixed in Your vows.

If we are dying out of hunger then only we can eat non veg but in any other way.

But these days usually no one dies out of hunger, maybe many do so in African countries...

Your servant,

Thank you for ur kind advice, mataji. I feel a little lightee in my mind knowing that there is someone who has undergone something I have to undergo very soon when uni commences.

I will take it positively and use it to strengthen the pillar of my faith on Krishna,

Haribol!
