One particular point in the Bhagavad-Gita that may be difficult to understand, especially for first-time readers is why did Krsna encourage Arjuna to fight in the Kurukshetra war, instead of allowing Arjuna to abandon the battle and go to live a peaceful life as he proposed in the beginning of the text?
