World Holy Name Week: 5th -15th September 2014
World Holy Name Week Day 1.
Sept. 5, 2014, ISKCON Bhaktivedanta Swami Goshalla, Vrndavana,
For the first time, we set up a pandal and sound system on the parikrama marg in front of our new ISKCON Bhaktivedanta Swami Goshalla gate around 10 am.
The kirtan is still going on, and we expect it to go till 6 or 7 pm.
Today is Ekadasi and thousands of devotees and pilgrims are walking the 10 kilometres around Vrndavana. As they walk, they hear our kirtan. Some stay and dance with us for some time.
We offer cool drinking water to everyone.
Sometimes there is torrential rain from the monsoon, but that does not dampen anyone’s spirits.
I personally experience some of the bliss of Harinam Sankirtan and am grateful to all for this wonderful gift, especially the Founder-acarya of ISKCON, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. I am also grateful the GBC who have kindly given me this wonderful service of helping to organise World Holy Name Week. And H.G. Pancha Gauda Prabhu, the Vrndavana Temple President.
