What is Material Illusion? When you use too much of I, My, Mine; when you consider yourself responsible for your success or failure; when you find more pleasure in your electronic gadgets than in the Lord; when you sometimes feel miserable and the other times happy, my friend, you must know that you are a victim of material illusion. The only solution to it being Krishna Consciousness or God-Consciousness.

We see that Arjuna was in a deluded condition in the battlefield of Kurukshetra, due to his attachment with his family and kinsmen. Today, we also are overcome with immense grief when we are inflicted with pain by our near and dear ones or someone close to us leaves the body. Lord Krishna indicates that academic knowledge, scholarship or high position can never solve our problems in life. Only a 100% Krishna conscious, irrespective of whether he is a brahmana or a shudra, can deliver us of these material pains.

Also, wealth accumulation and economic development cannot even solve the basic problems of material existence-birth, disease, old age and death, then what to say of family, social and international issues. A wise man never laments on the physical state of a person-living or dead; all that matters is only the soul. One must know once and for all that a person gets ultimate peace, tranquility and happiness only in the Krishna-Conscious or God-Conscious state.

7 years back, i was suffering from Maleria for about a month and then typhoid took over. That day, after collecting the reports(which tested +ve for typhoid) from the pathology lab and buying medicines from the medical store, i headed straight for the ISKCON temple from where the Rath-Yatra was supposed to start. All day long i was walking and chanting the mahamantra remembering Him, and to my surprise, late evening when the procession was about to stop, i felt as healthy as ever. We all know how much time typhoid takes to heal. From next morning onwards i stopped taking medicines because He had cured me already.

Friends, all i want to convey is that one can expect wonders in Krishna-Consciousness or God-Consciousness because He takes care of those who take shelter in His Lotus-feet.

Lastly, why am i stressing on God-Consciousness? My learning all this time in Krishna-Consciousness is that i must worship Him selflessly, i.e. without asking anything for myself except pure bhakti because He is not into some kind of business, wherin we expect some kind of service or money in return. My humble request to everyone is that whatever religion you follow, follow with utmost sincerity, without expecting anything in return. Afterall, each and every religion that exists here in this material world has been introduced according to different time, issues and circumstances.
