I am preparing for my next drama and for that I took Amala Harinam with me to destination “Theatrics Plus” on Yonge St. . We are still in the midst of the summer, yet not experiencing the often times common heat and humidity. Temperatures these days hover around 23° Celsius which is rather pleasant for walking with a slight breeze.
I made it a point through Ramsden Park and then Yonge to show my good side by smiling and addressing pedestrian with a “Hello” or “Haribol”. This is what I feel I’m obliged to do. Secondly I wanted to demonstrate to Amala how we connect to people. He’s about 50 years my junior so I feel I have something to offer him. People’s response? Great !
We were somewhat sad to find on the door of “Theatrics Plus” is closed on Monday. Oh well, let us just sit at these massive pebbles and chant some rounds of japa. The sun shove on us, and as mentioned the breeze gave ease.
For our return journey we zig zagged our way back to our mandir through nooks and crannies. At 12 noon my phone rang. It was Raj with the simple reminder that our weekly call is on for MANtra, the retreat for Krishna Conscious men. He caught me when traffic was imposing, noise-wise. Sirens happened to be demonstrating tumultuous sound. We turned a corner to a quite bench area by a garden. I knew it was private property at this condo building. What the heck just 10 minutes in relative peace. No harm. What could be the problem? Sure enough, the superintendent indicated it was time to go. Oh well !
