Dear Maharaj's and Prabhu's

The 29th National Sanatan Dharma Mahasamelan was held on 17th of April at
the FICCI Auditorium (New Delhi), The meeting was organized by Sri Ramakant
Goswami (Vice Chairman, Delhi Jal Board and General Secretary for the All
India Sanatan Dharma Pratinidhi Samelan).

H.H. Gopal Krishna Maharaj was invited to represent ISKCON and bless the
meetings. Smt. Meera Kumar (Lok Sabha Speaker of India) and Smt. Shela Dixit
(Chief Minister, New Delhi) honored Maharaj by offering him floral garland
and a kalash.
Maharaj gave a blessing speech and spoke on how the current global scenario
is very gloom and water problem leads the list. Quoting the verse "Ann?d
bhavanti bh?t?ni" (BG 3.14), He said water comes from rain and rain comes
from Yajna and the Yajna for this age is chanting the holy names of Lord
(Sankirtan Yajna). He also elaborated on the work being done by ISKCON to
spread the message of Bhagavad Gita all over the world and displayed a
Chinese edition of Bhagavad Gita As It Is.
H.H. Gopal Krishna Maharaj then presented each of the dignitaries with a
copy of Bhagavad Gita As It Is and a picture of Yasoda Krishna. Several
notable personalities were among the recipients including Sri R.S. Rana
(Ambassador of Nepal).

Smt. Meera Kumar and Smt. Shela Dixit praised ISKCON for its activities
around the world, especially glorifying the preaching activities in Russia.

In all, the meeting went on for 4 hours and all the members and the audience
were presented with a copy of English Bhagavad Gita As It Is (totaling to
800) and Hindi Back to Godhead (1000 copies).

The meeting was well covered by the electronic and print media. Other VIP's
who were present included:
