Venu-Madhuri as mission is to fulfil Srila Prabhupad’s desire of having village organisations.
Venu-Madhuri was invited to present its work at the G20 conference at Ahmedabad. The theme of two days conference was Acharanam (आचरणम) Indic Wisdom for Sustainable Lifestyle, hosted by Indus University in collaboration with LiFE (Lifestyle For Environment).
The G20 organizers wish to promote Indic, Vedic lifestyle based values and practices in context to ecology and environment, to one and all in India and around the world. Who else other than our dearest Srila Prabhupada will be the perfect role model and ambassador of preaching core Vedic values to the whole world?
In my presentation i did emphasised the point of Srila Prabhupad’s deep desire and vision for Rural Organization. Learning to this aspect of ISKCON, it’s been highly appreciated by the intellectual class of good people.
Topic for Venu-Madhuri’s presentation was Rural Reconstruction – The Indic Way.
Recommendations were requested in our area of expertise, for the formulation of public policy. Venu-Madhuri has submitted 9 recommendations based on its 23 years of rural reconstruction work.
It was great learning and sharing experience, with the 19 other eminent speakers from all over India on the following five themes –
1 Shastric foundation of ecological consciousness
2 Lok-parampara, health and ecology
3 Economic sutras and sustainable lifestyle
4 Science, sustainability and Indic wisdom
5 Lok-parampara, agriculture and self-reliant villages
