Leo and I took to Highway 401 destined for Montreal when an idea came up. What if we pulled over on the ramp to get some walking in on the main street of Brockville. That would facilitate the need for air, exercise, sights and people.
Apart from Brockville being quite a Loyalist town, it also displays a history of patriotism. From the town which has that nice touch of Victorian architecture, banners are hung from lamp posts of service men and women who fought in the nasty wars of Ⅰ and Ⅱ. Some of these heroes were killed in action. I get a little teary-eyed when I see the lively faces of those who served. It has much to do with my parents who struggled through those times of hardship.
I guess you could say that I felt connected to war veterans the people of sacrifice.
Leo was also on the Brockville prowl but on the other end of town. The strategy was my usual. The support driver goes ahead for a distance, parks and walks towards the walker (me) and we both trek to the vehicle. Anyways, some distance was covered before reaching Montreal where, without much breathing time, we took to the downtown at Concordia University for a jolly good time on the street with kirtan. Those students are quite receptive.
Good vibes at Concordia under the sun !
