Ujjain update 28th February, 2010
Today is Gaur Purnima and we had a wonderful darshan of the deities in Their
new attire which was followed by blissful kirtan joined by many guests and
about a hundred students from Indore,Bhopal and Guma.
Yesterday at 4.30pm the devotees went out for a namsankirtan which went to
the heart of the city and many localities. The delightful kirtan was led by
our young devotee Privratha Pr 70 plus and hundreds joined us en route.
Arrangements have been made in the temple room to show the ceremonies at
Mayapur live through mayapur.tv and the abishek of Gauranga Mahaprabhu at
Ujjain will start at 6pm.
Special flowers have come from Mumbai courtesy H.G.Mirabhai matagi and the
devotees have devoted themselves in making esquisite garlands and
decorations. Several other devotees have engaged themselves in cutting
vegetables and fruits for tomorrows evening prasad and for Jaganath Mishra's
feast the following day.
Here in Ujjain people will celebrate Holi or the festival of colors on
Monday and again on panchami Friday.
The second entry gate to our temple has now got a marble minaret plus the
Govinda's restaurant has a new glow sign board. The work on the main gate
has started which will enhance the external beauty of the temple.
Presently we have the great privilege of having the association of H.G.Vimal
Pr from Los Angeles who heads the international sankirtan ministry and is
sharing with us his wonderful experiences of book distribution and Chaityna
Mahaprabhu's lilas.
