Travel The Species by Bhaktimarga Swami

There was foggy condition at the beach in Burlington when Jagannath Misra and I started our morning walk. From there I was whisked away by the same Jagannath headed for a special place - the African Lion Safari, a big attraction. At the entrance I met the members of the Bhakti Academy Toronto (BAT) as we prepared for an adventure by car through regions of African animals, Australians and the Americans. Before  making that journey (a caravan of 3 cars) I mentioned to the group, “We are going to have a look at all the species we have been through.” That bought some laughter. My favourite at the safari are the giraffes and the North American bison. Impressive also the massive bird display. It is quite amazing was these predators with wings can do in flight.

After much viewing and education on various creatures of the wife, a 15 minute drive took us to the home of Girijadhava, my god brother. It was the water sport and the delicious prasadam that topped off the day. However, for a monk or “preacher” like myself the day is not done.

One of my sisyas (students) is Madhu Mati and she wanted to make more official the status of her Radha Krishna home deities. I named them, at her request. Radha Govinda was the name awarded to these great murtis or images. There was beautiful kirtan, some rituals and grainless veg. food.

Yes, it is understood that after millions of lives that was traversed through, finally come to that golden place, the human form, where tweaking life is the opportune to do.
