We went to a house and were greeted by a family from north India. They invited us in. With the open-minded couple, we talked about their professional lives, kids, and women’s empowerment and connected all of that with the Bhagavatam. The lady was genuine, and they took a set. People are looking for deeper experiences and connections in life, despite having high paying jobs, big homes and all facilities.
Our next knock was on the door of a pious man from Kolkata, who at first seemed not so impressive. But when he started talking, we could see that he was intelligent and sharp. He met Srila Prabhupada’s Western disciples in 1977, in Assam, and through them he heard about the great work Prabhupada was doing.
His twenty-year-old son joined the conversation. The father remembered the life history of Srila Prabhupada as he had heard it in 1977 (when he was barely twelve years old).
At his current age, he takes great inspiration from Prabhupada for having changed the history of the world through his contributions at an advanced age. He happily took the Srimad Bhagavatam set.
We were left in awe, thinking about how Srila Prabhupada reconnected with him after many years, through his books, just because he had genuine appreciation for a pure devotee.
We entered the last house of the day and met Srinivas, a good-hearted gentleman from Andhra Pradesh. He was straightforward about how he is not religious and doesn’t often go to temples. Nevertheless, he patiently heard what we presented. And to our surprise, he took a Srimad Bhagavatam set and gave a generous donation.

I sincerely wish all the Souls have the desire, the ability and the taste to Devotionally Chant and hear The Holy Names, every single moment of of our lives correctly and unconditionally irrespective of the condition, situation or position we find ourselves in.
